First of all, the team at Maricor/Maricar have a gorgeous website. In their own words the Australians are illustrators, designers, animators and embroiderers. I’m going to have to do a whole separate post on their embroidery work alone but for today I just wanted to highlight this simple chalk mural. The little detail of having shading on the curves knocks it out of the park for me. ”Fail better” couldn’t better capture what I’m trying to do out in California, too.
hate hate hate how mom’s family is trying to take over the preparations for our birthday. i mean, i love them for being concerned and all we deeply appreciate it but talk about plans that i wouldn’t want to happen. even if it’s not my birthday. sigh
apparently we can’t go to the beach because there wouldn’t be any formal program if so. who the why i don’t mind not celebrating.

i watched three yt videos tonight from the vlogbrothers. they are as pauline calls it, amazingly nerdyable. owning glasses with all the astigmatism and high eye grade possible since the first grade, i’ve never felt this cool for having the Greens. aw.

the other night, i was talking to a friend who just went through a break-up. tonight, i found myself reading a blog post from a friend who’s deeply in love.
my thoughts: waking up for those two are the worst/best feeling they could have in their relationship. ever. i just think that waking up from a tearful night and the thought of losing your boyfriend is the worst feeling for a girl in her lovely teenage years. on another note, the thought of being in love and being loved as you wake up from a long sleep, priceless.
